After the tumor was removed, a follow-up CT scan a year later revealed secondary lesions in the lungs and brain.<\/p>\n<p>The patient underwent pharmacological treatment with <strong>Sunitinib<\/strong>. (Sunitinib is an anti-cancer drug capable of inhibiting the growth of malignant cells. Administered orally, Sunitinib is available in various reimbursable medicines only in hospital facilities and can only be dispensed upon presentation of a non-repeatable restrictive prescription (RNRL), prescribed by hospital centers or specialists).<\/p>\n<p>After months of drug administration, the patient reported <strong>vision loss in both eyes<\/strong>: <strong>neurosensory retinal detachment<\/strong> in the macular region of both eyes was diagnosed. The therapy with Sunitinib was discontinued, and the patient underwent general, local, and intravitreal steroid therapy with Ozurdex.<\/p>\n<p>The patient came to our observation with the following clinical picture:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Right Eye (OD)<\/strong>: Retinal detachment in the lower sectors without evident retinal breaks. Neurosensory retinal detachment in the macular region with large hard exudate. Presence of a solid mass above the optic disc, likely a secondary metastatic lesion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Left Eye (OS)<\/strong>: Neurosensory retinal detachment in the macular region, likely secondary to Sunitinib intake.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The patient was referred to an oncologist for an update on chemotherapy and to a specialized center for the treatment of ocular neoplasms.<\/p>\n<figure
